Who Should Attend
The Adventure Recovery Guide Certificate program is designed for people who work with individuals and groups seeking positive change or who simply want to acquire the expertise to embark on adventures outdoors. This includes therapists, counselors, recovery coaches, educators, recovery advocates, people in recovery, wellness professionals, yoga teachers, life coaches, and anyone else who meets our requirements. We provide professional techniques and skills instruction in outdoor leadership and mentoring, with a strong focus on recovery-awareness for clients who are in recovery.
In addition, our prevention awareness programming is part of our Adventure Discovery program, which teaches kids, tweens, teens, and young adults (or old adults!) how to have a good time outside and connect to their love for nature. The education, prevention, and camaraderie the AR team provides teaches individuals how to embrace the great outdoors. Furthermore, the experiences create relationships that last a lifetime.
