CREATING LIFELONG CONNECTION

We are here to guide the way.

AR guides individuals from dependence on potentially maladaptive systems of support (i.e., tech, alcohol, shopping, substances) to a place of independence. The approach is a multi-faceted model, including professional support and clinical services. Time outside creates opportunities to develop:

  • sustainable behavioral health practices

  • proficiency in outdoor skills

  • an adventurous, healthy lifestyle

  • and meet self-directed goals

Through individual adventures in nature, we build confidence, self-efficacy, and self-esteem. We expand abilities, knowledge, and create new opportunities to challenge and broaden awareness. The Adventure Recovery model matches clients with an AR guide and/or AR clinician depending on areas of interest, goals, and aptitude. AR utilizes outdoor skills-based experiences as foundational learning tools for the client. We know the way, go the way, and show the way.

ADVENTURE RECOVERY MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT

Adventure Recovery guides individuals from self-destructive behaviors to healthier, happier lives. These experiences build positive rapport, enthusiasm, and clarity of purpose.

Individual client sessions take place during half-day, full-day, overnight, or excursion increments. We are individualized in how we structure time with clients. In addition, we provide case management, family support, on-demand text, email, and phone support to the client and can offer clinical* as needed. For deeper support, overnight or multi-day experiences offer the opportunity to expand on the teachings, deepen integration, and apply learnings in real-life settings. Excursions allow clients to build trust, alliances, self-efficacy, and self-esteem.

The truth is…

We all have the ability to thrive. And anyone can do it. At times in our lives, we need guidance to access the tools and skills to move us forward. Through outdoor experiences, adventure sports, and trusted connection and compassionate guidance, we develop skills and abilities to live a life of joy and happiness.

You choose the activities, and we guide you along the journey, supporting you every step of the way. Immersing in these disciplines, you experience wonder, excitement, contentment, and joy. These are the fuel for extraordinary living and sustainable wellness. This is the Adventure Recovery way of life. This is why we go.

Adventure Recovery helped me believe in myself again. With the help of my AR Guide, I was able to reverse a downward spiral that almost got me kicked out of college. Today I am thriving, pursuing my dreams and applying for grad school.
